About Our Mission to Malawi
Bethany Church is leading the way in making a difference through our Mission to Malawi. In partnership with churches under the Abundant Harvest Fellowship of Churches, World Vision, the United Nations, and UNICEF, we are dedicated to bringing hope, healing, and lasting change to the Bone Chair area of Malawi. Our mission goes beyond a simple visit; we aim to create sustainable improvements in the lives of children and families by providing essential resources like clean water, food, education, and medical care.
Why Malawi?
Malawi has been chosen as our first official overseas mission because of the urgent needs and incredible potential for impact in this community. The Bone Chair area faces challenges related to poverty, access to clean water, education, and healthcare. By focusing our efforts here, we can make a meaningful difference, empowering local families and helping to shift the future of this entire region.

The Chosen Ceremony
One of the unique and powerful aspects of our mission is the chosen ceremony, where children in need have the opportunity to choose their own sponsors. This special moment creates a personal and meaningful connection, allowing children to actively participate in shaping their future. Sponsors will have their photos taken at our kickoff event, and these photos will be taken to Malawi, where a child will select their sponsor. This ceremony not only fosters a deep bond but also emphasizes the dignity and agency of each child involved.
How You Can Get Involved
Sponsor a Child
